COVID Update – 16 Dec 2021

Covid Update – Robert and I wanted to give a further update tonight after Nicola Sturgeon’s remarks today. This is a really difficult situation and the responsibility to decide what is best to do has been left with us as a church. So (and apologies for those who heard contrary tonight) at the moment we are going to go ahead with the services in the Church on Sunday. We realise that some of you will be happy with this and others may be worried or disappointed. We are really sorry to be in this situation! Remember ALL services will be live streamed, so if you are at all worried stay at home and watch online – if you do come to Church please follow all the guidelines previously advised. (LFT/Hands/Face/Space/Wrap Up). Worship on the 26th December and on the 2nd January will be online only at 10.30 am on both days. Please don’t hesitate to speak to us if you have any concerns about any of this.

Omicron Update

The rise in Omicron cases is a worry for all of us. At the moment the rules and guidelines for churches have not changed.

However as an additional precaution for tomorrow please do a lateral flow test (if you have them) before coming to any church service.

Also remember;

◦ Hands – sanitise hands upon entry to church

◦ Face – wear your face mask at all times in the church

◦ Space – keep at least 1m apart from other households if possible (seats have not been moved but 2 seats is 1m)

Windows will be open tomorrow to increase ventilation so please wrap up warm. Please don’t close them – it is more important than ever that they are open.

You should adopt a low tolerance towards any symptoms of Covid and if feeling unwell stay at home and book a PCR test.

Let’s keep each other safe this Christmas season! 🙏
